I lost 3 lbs in ONE WEEK!
Yeah, I'm going to have to take those words back. My faith in the fitness gym has been ignited! Since the day that I started working out at SnapFitness 24/7, I have done 20-30 minutes of cardio each morning. I typically switch between the treadmill and the elliptical machine (both on either the cardio or weight loss programs). I usually go back to the gym after work and do 30 minutes of cardio and a series of ab, leg, strength/resistance, and balance exercises.
About midway through this week, I was scheduled for my FitScore examination with a personal trainer on staff. I was not surprised to discover that I had scored the lowest possible scores on flexibility, strength, and sit ups (I only did 24 in 60 seconds.) of course, I scored an 8, being the highest possible score, on heart rate/endurance. At least all the running I've done pays off. After my FitScore exam results, I was motivated to join a small group personal training class. We meet every day to do 2-3 rounds of about 9 different excercises that focus on the various parts of the body and muscles.
Last week, I began at 164/163 lbs (depending on which of the two scales I used), and here I am 7 days later at 161/160 lbs! Yassss! I am seeing the beginning of my physical success. My goal is simply to tone up, and lose my gut that I have gained by murdering several bags of nutter butters this past summer. (lord, forgive me!) other than that, working out at the gym has also promoted better hair care for myself. With all of that sweat and endurance, I've been making sure to keep my hair moisturized and twisted. I heard that exercise promotes hair growth too! As a matter of fact, I should grab some more plastic hair caps so that I can deep condition in the sauna next week!
